PEDAGOGICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS OF COGNITIVE FLEXIBILITY IN PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

The study examines such components of cognitive flexibility as cognitive shifting,
flexible attentional control, inhibitory control, working memory, problem-solving through
various strategies, and adaptation to new situations. It also explores the developmental
characteristics of these components during the preschool years and their significance for
children's cognitive activity and social adaptation. The article pays particular attention to
the pedagogical and psychological potential of using games, problem situations, task
switching, and creative activities to develop cognitive flexibility.
