Abstract

The article provides a theoretical foundation for an adaptive mechanism aimed at
developing the econometric competence of management students in a digital learning
environment. The study employs content analysis of scientific sources, pedagogical
modeling, systematization, and functional decomposition. As a result, a mechanism
integrating diagnostic profiling, differentiated tasks, software-based implementation,
multi-criteria assessment, rapid feedback, and corrective actions into a continuous cycle
is developed. The structure of econometric competence is systematized according to areas
of activity related to acquiring theoretical knowledge, practical modeling, economic
interpretation and forecasting of results, and formulating management decisions based on
analytical evidence. A distinctive feature of the mechanism is the use of digital tools not as
separate technical resources but as instruments of didactic management that adapt
instructional interventions to students’ current performance. The proposed approach
enables the application of theoretical knowledge in software-based analysis and develops
students’ ability to formulate management conclusions based on the evidence obtained.
