Abstract

This article examines the impact of contemporary philosophical paradigms of globalization on the education system. The purpose of the study is to identify how liberal and neo-Marxist paradigms influence educational content, pedagogical technologies, and the development of students’ critical thinking competencies. The research employs comparative-analytical, systemic, and philosophical-pedagogical approaches. The findings indicate that globalization promotes the internationalization of education, academic mobility, and digital learning opportunities while simultaneously increasing information flows and ideological influences. In this context, D. Halpern’s critical thinking model serves as an important methodological framework for developing students’ abilities to analyze information, evaluate arguments, compare alternative perspectives, and make reasoned judgments. The study concludes that integrating critical thinking-oriented teaching methods into the educational process is essential in the context of globalization.
