Abstract

This article presents a comparative and analytical review of contemporary
scientific research devoted to the use of artificial intelligence in foreign language teaching, particularly English language instruction. The analysis draws on findings from
international scientific articles and dissertation studies conducted within the educational
context of Uzbekistan. The methods employed in these studies, the artificial intelligence
(AI) tools examined, language skills, and pedagogical opportunities are reviewed. The
findings of the analyzed studies indicate that artificial intelligence tools have the potential
to develop learners’ written and oral communication skills, increase motivation, and
support independent learning. At the same time, the research demonstrates that the
effectiveness of artificial intelligence is not universal, as its outcomes also depend on the
educational environment, the individual characteristics of school and university students,
the type of technology used, and the pedagogical methodology applied.
