PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR DEVELOPING FUTURE TRANSLATORS’ INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE THROUGH AUTHENTIC MATERIALS

The article argues that, regardless of how thoroughly the previously developed
didactic principles and stage-based technology for developing future translators’
intercultural communicative competence through authentic materials are designed, the
expected outcomes cannot be achieved without the necessary organizational, personnel,
and environmental conditions, since a methodology becomes effective only under
appropriate conditions for its implementation. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to
identify and systematize the pedagogical conditions that ensure the successful
implementation of this process. Drawing on theoretical analysis, comparative-descriptive
analysis, and generalization, the study establishes a scientifically grounded system
comprising six groups of conditions: institutional-resource, personnel preparation,
didactic-methodological support, psychological-pedagogical environment, monitoring
and assessment, and regulatory-organizational conditions. Each condition is described
separately, and their hierarchical and functional interrelationships are identified; in
particular, the regulatory-organizational condition is shown to provide the formal basis
for all other conditions. Based on the findings, specific recommendations are proposed for
developing an internal audit checklist for educational institutions, introducing specialized
training programs for teachers, and empirically assessing the contribution of each
condition to competence development in future research.
