IMPROVING THE PEDAGOGICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC MODEL FOR DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION STUDENTS

This article examines the improvement of a pedagogical and diagnostic model for
effectively organizing the development of professional competencies among vocational
education students. The theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation and
development of professional competencies are analyzed, and the importance of diagnostic
approaches for identifying students’ individual capabilities, level of preparedness,
learning outcomes, and professional orientation is substantiated. The study also defines
the structural components, principles, and stages of a model based on the integration of
pedagogical diagnostics, monitoring, analysis, and corrective interventions. The improved
model is designed to promote a learner-centered educational process in vocational
education institutions, increase students’ engagement, develop their skills in performing
professional tasks, and enhance competency-based outcomes. The findings expand
opportunities for identifying the dynamics of students’ professional development through
a pedagogical and diagnostic approach, designing individual learning trajectories, and
improving the quality of education.
