Abstract

This article presents methodological approaches to developing students' skills in
working with international educational assessment programs within the course
Assessment in Education. It analyzes the relationship between the course topics and the
international assessment programs PIRLS, TIMSS, and PISA, and substantiates ways of  integrating them into practical classroom activities. The study also introduces innovative
teaching methodologies aimed at developing assessment literacy, as well as students'
abilities to analyze, design, and construct international assessment tasks. Furthermore,
methodological recommendations are provided for implementing the Competency
Identification and Expert Analysis, Two Perspectives, and From Answer to Task
methodologies in the professional preparation of future primary school teachers.
