The article presents a methodology for integrating lectures, practical classes, and
independent learning into a unified didactic system when teaching the “Database” course
in higher education institutions in the context of digital transformation. The practical
mechanism of the methodology is based on the integrated use of Flipped Classroom, the
Adaptively Supported Pre-Class Learning Model (ASPLM), Data-Driven Scaffolding,
Station Rotation, and Self-Directed Learning (SDL), closely linked with a digital learning
platform, learning analytics, and individualized recommendations. The methodology is
implemented using the topic “SQL Language and Writing SQL Statements” as a practical
example, forming a unified learning cycle that includes pre-class preparation, in-class
activities, and post-class independent learning. As a result, the approach expands
opportunities for integrating the practical application of theoretical knowledge,
collaborative problem-solving, independent learning, and reflection.
