Abstract

This article examines the theoretical and practical foundations of the didactic features of developing
spatial representations in primary school students and presents a stage-based logical model of this process. The
study develops a six-stage didactic model for the formation of spatial representations, consisting of perception,
image formation, practical performance, mental processing, verbal explanation, and independent application, and
substantiates its effectiveness. The role of educational content, methodological organization, and the sequencing
of learning tasks in developing primary school students’ visual-imaginative and spatial thinking is also analyzed.
