DEVELOPING THE PROFESSIONAL AND TERMINOLOGICAL COMPETENCE OF FUTURE INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALISTS AS A PEDAGOGICAL PROBLEM

This article analyzes the development of professional and terminological
competence among future information security specialists as a pedagogical problem. It
substantiates that the rapid development of the information security field, the emergence
of new technologies and cybersecurity threats, and the continuous evolution of
professional terminology require future specialists not only to know professional terms
but also to use them accurately, appropriately, and meaningfully in professional activities
and communicative situations. The concepts of “professional competence,”
“terminological competence,” and “professional and terminological competence” are
examined from a pedagogical perspective, and their interrelationships are analyzed. The
article also discusses pedagogical factors influencing the development of professional and
terminological competence among future information security specialists, existing
challenges, and the need to improve terminological training in contemporary vocational
education. The development of professional and terminological competence is
substantiated as an essential component of specialist training that enables future
professionals to understand and analyze field-specific information, appropriately use
terminology in professional communication, and effectively perform professional tasks.
