This article systematically analyzes the ideas of reflection, self-awareness, self-
control, and self-education reflected in the pedagogical and philosophical heritage of Abu Ali ibn Sina, a prominent thinker of the Eastern Renaissance. It also provides a scientific
and theoretical examination of the possibilities for integrating these ideas with
contemporary educational paradigms, including the competency-based approach,
metacognitive strategies, learner-centered education, and lifelong learning. The study
explores the internal mechanisms of cognition presented in Ibn Sina’s works, the gradual
development of intellectual maturity, moral self-regulation, the dynamics of spiritual and
intellectual transformation, and the epistemological and axiological essence of self-
analysis in the educational process.
